Thoth Tarot

This fascinating and impressive artwork in this deck was conceived by the famous occultist and member of the Golden Dawn movement, Aleister Crowley (1875-1947).

The Thoth Tarot is considered one of the richest classic decks in modern tarot.

The Thoth Tarot, conceived by Aleister Crowley and illustrated by Lady Frieda Harris (1877-1962), consists of a 78-card deck and a booklet of instructions in Portuguese.

The instruction booklet describes both the trumps and the minor arcana cards and includes an introductory note by Hymenaeus Beta.

The cards measure 7cm in width by 11.00 cm in length.

The current edition, produced by AGMuller Publishing, was created using advanced color separation and printing techniques, thus reproducing the beautiful colors of the original paintings.

The illustrations were the work of Lady Frieda Harris, who, despite having little knowledge of tarot, managed to capture all the subtleties of Crowley's ideals under his supervision. Many versions of the same cards were painted until Crowley's final approval.

Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot took five years to complete. The first edition was published in 1969, after both Crowley and Lady Harris had passed away.
