THE AUTHORS
Erik C. Dunne discovered the art of tarot over 25 years ago when he walked into an esoteric shop. The owner took a liking to him and promptly introduced him to more advanced knowledge of tarot art. In 2011, Erik posted an image of the 'Queen of Swords' card on social media and within minutes had dozens of fans. Among them was one in particular who saw great talent and a special individual in the young artist. This was Pamela Steele, a renowned artist and tarot reader, who wrote the foreword for this book. She notes: “I hope and wish to see Eric’s Tarot Illuminati take its place among the highest ranks of Great Tarot Decks.” Philosopher and historian Kim Huggens has been studying tarot since she was nine years old and has published books both as an author and co-author. Erik invited her to collaborate on the text for the Tarot Illuminati, and she enjoyed the experience so much that she has already begun taking the first steps toward a second project: a tarot deck combining Erik’s impressive illustrations with the rich tapestry of myths and cultures found in Sumerian literature. In her spiritual formation, Kim is initiated into the Ordo Templis Orientis and is a Hounsi Lave Tet initiated into Haitian Vodou by Houngan Hector Salva of Sosyete Gade Nou Leve.
