howlita – small stone

Howlite takes its name from Mr. Henry How, a Canadian chemist, geologist, and mineralogist who “discovered” this mineral.

Its natural color is white with gray veins, though it can be found dyed in other colors due to its porous texture which allows easy dyeing.

This stone was highly valued by the Indians for its strength, serenity, and courage-giving properties to face others around us.
