", "description": "

BRIEF CHARACTERISTICS OF IEMANJÁ Yemanjá is an orixá of African origin, whose name derives from the Yoruba expression Yéyé omo ejá (\"Mother whose children are fish\"). In Afro-Brazilian religions, this female orixá is the great womb of life on Earth. Iemanjá is the wife of Oxalá and the mother of the orixás. Yemanjá, goddess of the sea and saltwater, is strong, proud, strict, maternal, hardworking, available, majestic, and calm.

She is called Iyá, \"Mother,\" as she is the great mother of origins. Yemanjá appears beautiful, calm, sensual, dignified, and fertile; but she can be possessive, jealous, and does not easily forgive betrayal. Her colors are Blue and White. Guide: Blue beads or blue and white beads – Flowers: Daisies, Roses – Clothing: Blue clothing – Location: Sea and oceans – Consecrated day: February 2

The Iemanja image – 12cm in resin (commonly known as \"marfinite\") is part of our collection of religious images.
